Our Journey

Movile began as a response to the fuel price crisis of June 2022, which disrupted transportation and highlighted the need for cheaper alternatives. Recognizing the untapped potential in ride-sharing, we launched a pilot with a simple WordPress website and achieved immediate traction:

Website Visits: In the initial days, our site saw rapid engagement.
Ride Forms Submitted: Users actively sought to publish or request rides.
Early Adopter Insights: Direct feedback from users revealed key pain points, particularly around payment scams and the need for a more structured system.

Motivated by this response, we transitioned to developing a robust mobile application and adopted a lean startup methodology to iteratively build and improve our platform.

Achievements and Milestones

Product Development:
- Built a feature-complete app with ride publishing, requesting, live tracking, chat, and phone number verification.
- Developed with Amazon Web Services and React Native for a scalable and efficient architecture.
Beta Testing:

While ride-sharing models like Quick Ride in India and BlaBlaCar in Europe have found success, Movile is tailored to address the unique challenges and opportunities in South Asia and the Middle East. Our deep understanding of local cultures and commute preferences (e.g., rickshaws and bikes) allows us to design solutions that resonate with users. We also prioritize gender sensitivity and trust-building features, addressing concerns specific to these regions.

Unlike competitors who struggle to balance supply and demand due to unfocused rollouts, Movile is launching institutionally, ensuring scalability while maintaining customer trust.
